Feral Cat Policies & Procedures

In the interest of providing the cats with the very best medical attention possible, we have developed special protocols for feral cats at our clinic:

For the well-being of the cats, and the safety of our staff members, all feral cats must come to the clinic in a secure, live-release trap with no exceptions. If you don't have a trap, you may rent one from us for a $10 fee and a $50 deposit. (deposit is refundable upon return of trap*) *Trap must been returned in same condition as it was loaned to be eligible for deposit refund.

Feral cats may be admitted to the clinic Monday through Wednesday between the hours of 8am and 1pm and must be picked up the following morning at 7:30 a.m.

CSNC does not hold feral cats overnight prior to their surgery day, and it's the responsibility of the trapper to fast the cat by withholding food after 7am on the day of surgery.

Prior to receiving anesthesia, feral cats will not receive a physical exam to determine fitness for anesthesia.

The cost of our feral cat package is $45 and includes spay/neuter surgery, 3-year rabies vaccine, ear tip, ear cleaning, and ear mite treatment.

Please contact us at (239) 228-7740 if you have any questions about our feral cat program.
